Transand was established in 1970 by the late Mr Charles Robertson and incorporated as a private company on the 4th of February 1971. They specialize in building- and construction material as well as plant hire. They trade as a modern company where employees hold a 26% shareholding through a workers trust. The company is situated on the Oudtshoorn Road (R328), about 3km outside Hartenbos. Main areas of operation are the Southern Cape district and goes as far as Plettenberg Bay, Beaufort West and Swellendam.
Currently in control of the company is Billy & Charles Robertson and Richard Moiloa, each managing a different division of the company. The Transand Group employs about 300 people. Most employees are from Mossel Bay, Brandwag and Great Brak area and a large percentage has a service record of more than 15 years.
Transand is well known and respected in its trade due to its commitment to provide excellent service at all times at the best price.
Mr. Charles Robertson (snr) was a farmer with a love for yellow machines. He started Transand, only as a small company and it has grown into one of the largest plant hire and building material suppliers in the Southern Cape. Transand’s client base includes Mossel Bay Municipality; Eden Municipality; Oudtshoorn Municipality; Hssequa Municipality; Transnet; local building- and civil contractors; farmers and private individuals, to name a few. They deliver any volume, anywhere!

Urhwebo was established in 2000 and the nature of this business is building and civil works; building civil infrastructure for developments and private sector; industrial buildings, houses, dams, reservoirs, roads, culverts, sewerage networks, water reticulation works, sewerage treatment works as well as desalination plants.
Urhwebo is a BEE company with CIDB grading of 8CE for civil work and 7GB for building work. The directors are JW Robertson, H Muller, R Rhoodes, K Lutchmen, L Wildskut and HP Lategan with Klasie as civil engineer, projects manager Gerhard Swanepoel, contracts manager Brandon van Rensburg & quantity surveyor Chris Bezuidenhout.
They successfully build the Sardine Canning Factory, Desalination Plant and various roads in Mossel Bay as well as the construction of internal civil services of 900 erven in George.

MANUFACTURES CEMENT PRODUCTS
Enonbrick was started by the Transand group in 2000 to add value to the aggregate products and has established a large range of quality cement products.
The name enon comes from the word “enonconglom” – a very hard sandstone, which form part of the quality of the products. They supply throughout the Southern Cape to all clients and has a modern delivery fleet. The knowledge of cement specialist Stefan Wittmann supports the company’s slogan “Our quality...your pride”.

Our products can be used to build homes as well as garden structures such as retaining walls and driveway and walkway paving. Our hollow building blocks can be used in the construction of low cost housing, are lighter and easy to handle. All their products are highly durable and low on maintenance.

T&T CONCRETE
SUPPLIERS OF READY MIX CONCRETE
T&T Concrete was established in 2003 by the co-operation between Transand and Kirsten & Tulleken Transport. That way the quality products of Transand; the building knowledge of Andre Tulleken and the cement knowledge of Stefan Wittmann were combined.
Ready mix concrete is a type of concrete that is manufactured in a batching plant, according to a set recipe, and then delivered to work sites by mixing trucks. The two batch plants are situated in George Industria and in Hartenbos and supply ready mix concrete to the entire Eden Municipality.
The product range includes: 10 to 30 MPA Concrete; Pump Mixes; Mortar Class 1& 2; No-fines Concrete; Self Compacting Concrete; Coloured Concrete and Concrete for Marine Environment.

SUPPLIES BITUMEN PRODUCTS
iPatch originated due to a need for the repair of potholes in roads. iPatch was established in 2007 by Mr. Hennig Marais. They supply Cold Asphalt, Tosas Bitumin Emulsions and Prime and deliver in the Western-, Southern- and Eastern Cape.
iPatch Asphalt is a road surfacing and road maintenance material consisting of carbonaceous shale, bitumen and crushed stone aggregates. The product is packed in handy spill free 30kg bags. There are 7 easy steps to apply Cold Asphalt Mix for the repair of potholes.
The grading of the mix complies with the requirements of a medium continuously graded asphalt according to the CSRA standard specifications.
